Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to our most commonly asked questions here.
Why should I clean my gear?
Clean gear plays better. Regular care helps restore grip tackiness, improve contact, increase ball spin, and prevent distance loss. It also extends the life of your grips, shoes, and other equipment.
Is the cleaning solution environmentally friendly and safe?
Yes. Our foaming cleaner is made with biodegradable ingredients and contains no harsh solvents or abrasives. It’s safe for use on and off the course. The formula is currently going through EPA Safer Choice -direct certification for added peace of mind. It’s also safe on all common golf materials including stainless steel, chrome, matte finishes, urethane ball covers, rubber, synthetic and corded grips, leather, mesh, and synthetic uppers.
How is this different from water or dish soap?
Water doesn’t fully remove buildup or oils. Dish soap can strip or dry out materials. Our no-rinse foam is made for golf gear—it lifts dirt, restores feel, and leaves no residue.
What makes Careful Golf different?
Careful Golf is built around performance through care. Our foam stays where it’s sprayed and doesn’t run. It works on all the gear that matters—clubs, grips, balls, shoes—and doesn’t need water. It’s made and filled in the USA and designed to help golfers keep their equipment ready every swing.
How do I use the Golf Care Kit?
Pump foam directly onto your gear, scrub with the brush, then wipe clean with a towel. No rinsing needed.
How do I assemble it?
Insert the bottle into the brush handle and push down to secure it. Attach the magnetic keychain to the brush and clip it to your bag for easy access
How do I take care of the brush?
Rinse the bristles after use and let them air dry. Try not to leave it in a sealed, hot trunk for long periods—lack of airflow and pressure over time can cause the material to crack.
Tell me more about the magnetic keychain
It’s rated for 3.3 pounds of pull force and has a strong hold. Always push the magnets apart instead of pulling straight—this prevents damage to the carabiner or keyring. You can clip it to magnetic cart frames, but we recommend only doing so when stationary or on smooth paved paths. Rough terrain may cause it to bounce loose.
How long does the bottle last?
Each 4oz bottle provides about 100 to 120 pumps depending on usage.
What happens when I run out?
You can order a replacement bottle and swap it in.
What if my brush breaks?
We’re sorry that happened. Our brush is a patent-pending design and every one comes with a one-year limited warranty. Just email info@carefulgolf.com with your order number and a photo. We’ll happily replace it minus shipping fee.
Where is everything made?
The foaming cleaner is made and filled in the USA. The kit is assembled here using a mix of domestic and international components. Our goal is to bring full production to the US in the future.
What if it gets in my eyes, on my skin, or is accidentally swallowed?
If it gets in your eyes, rinse with water for several minutes. If it gets on your skin, wash with soap and water. If swallowed, rinse your mouth and contact a medical professional or poison control. While the formula is non-toxic, it’s intended for external use only.
