Frequently asked questions
Why should I clean my gear?
Clean gear performs better. Regular cleaning restores grip tackiness, improves ball spin and control, enhances contact, and prevents loss of distance. It also helps extend the life of your clubs, grips, balls, and shoes, so your equipment stays consistent and ready for every round.
Is the cleaning solution environmentally friendly?
Yes. The foaming cleaner is made with biodegradable, plant-based ingredients and contains no harsh abrasives or harmful solvents. It’s safe for use on and off the course and is currently going through EPA Safer Choice certification. It’s also safe on all standard golf materials like stainless steel, chrome, matte finishes, urethane ball covers, rubber, corded or synthetic grips, mesh, leather, and synthetic uppers.
What makes Careful Golf different from water, soap, or other cleaners?
Water alone doesn’t fully remove buildup, and dish soap can leave residue, dry out or damage materials over time. Careful Golf’s 4-in-1 cleaner was made specifically for golf gear. Our foam lifts dirt and oils, restores tackiness, and doesn’t require rinsing. Simply apply, scrub, and wipe clean. It clings on, doesn't require water, and It’s safe on all golf gear. It’s made and bottled in the USA, and designed for use both on and off the course. It’s part of a simple routine that helps you stay ready, every swing, every round.
How long does the bottle last, and what happens when I run out?
Each 4oz bottle offers between 100 to 120 pumps, depending on how much you use. When you run out, simply, order a replacement, transfer the O-ring to the new bottle and swap it in to secure it inside the brush.
What if my brush breaks?
We’re truly sorry that happened. The Careful Brush is a patent-pending design built for performance, and while it’s made to last, sometimes things don’t go as planned. Every brush comes with a one-year limited warranty—just email info@carefulgolf.com with a quick photo of the brush, and we’ll be happy to send you a replacement, covered under warranty after shipping costs.
How should I use the magnetic keychain?
The magnetic keychain is rated for 5 pounds of pull force. For safe use, always push the magnets apart rather than pulling them straight apart. Pulling can stress or damage the carabiner or keyring over time. You can clip it to a golf cart if the frame is magnetic, but we recommend doing so only when the cart is parked or on smooth paved paths. On rough or unpaved terrain, the brush may bounce loose and fall off. Always make sure the magnets are securely reconnected after each use.
Where is Careful Golf made?
Our 4-in-1 foaming cleaner is made and filled in the USA. The Golf Care Kit is assembled in the US using a mix of domestic and internationally sourced components. One of our long-term goals is to bring full production stateside so we can proudly say it’s made in the USA from start to finish.
What if it gets in my eyes, on my skin, or is accidentally swallowed?
If it gets in your eyes, rinse thoroughly with clean water for several minutes. For skin contact, rinse off thoroughly with water. If accidentally swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Rinse your mouth and seek medical advice or contact poison control. This product is intended for external use only.
Foaming Pump Is Stuck or Sticking
If your foaming pump feels stuck or is sticking, don’t worry—it usually just means a little solution has dried around the pump head. To fix it, simply unscrew the pump from the bottle and run it under warm water (or let it soak for a few minutes). This will loosen it up and have it working smoothly again.
